Although I was in town for work, my last night was spent at the restaurant, the meal was absolutely magnificent, the dessert was delicious and the service was impeccable, the proprietress Amanda I think her name was, really the nicest person you could wish to meet. I also loved the statue of the beautiful horse out the front, quite an art statement. Would thoroughly recommend. Apologise if I have the ladies name wrong.

I have visited here many times and I haven't been let down yet. The food is excellent, meals are a great size and mostly value for money. Plenty of variety in the menu. The theme nights offer great variety and it's a Pleasant quiet atmosphere to dine in.

The best steaks I have ever had. All organic, you can taste the difference. Service impeccable, entertainment with the owners family singing. You have to listen to believe. This is a bucket list operation!!!

We celebrated my husband's birthday here after it being recommended by the manager of the caravan park we were staying. Definitely a good recommendation. It is a la carte and there quite a few good choices on the menu and the wine list is pretty good as well. We had an entree of coconut prawns and the other the stuffed portobello mushrooms. They were very good, but the servings were very large, in fact they could have been main menu size. We both then ordered the filet mignons which came with a choice of two sides. We selected the fresh seasonal vegetables and the sweet potato wedges. The servings were enormous and in fact one meal could have fed the both of us. The food was very good. The seasonal vegetables were - cauliflower, broccoli, sweet peas, carrots, zucchinis and corn on the cob. It was a shame that we could not finish the meals. Needless to say we did not try the desserts. All of the staff were so pleasant and friendly. It had a family feel to it. A young girl sang and played the ukulele singing a few of Adele's songs. A great atmosphere.

I have stayed at the Overlander many times through work & have always found the food to be consistently good. It may not provide the latest fad or MasterChef style of food but it is good wholesome country cooking at its best.

This is restaurant has got to be the best. The food is prepared and cooked to perfection. A great menu is on offer so your spoilt for choice really. I recommend the organic steaks or the jungle curry and if you like a desert then an equally great choice for you there. Very impressed with the wine list and choice of beers. The staff were excellent, chatty but not in your face. All in all well worth a visit if your nearby. Or if not, drive over anyway.

The last place I would have anticipated a Mexican night is Roma Queensland but the Overlander had Mexican when I visited. I had the garlic prawns to start with and was not disappointed. They were cooked to perfection. I then ordered a hanging skewer of spiced beef and was presented with a wonderful skewer of marinated steak cubes. It was accompanied by a pineapple salad that provoked the pallet. I seldom find myself struggling to finish a meal but in this instance satisfaction was definitely found.Adding to the "comida buena" was a serenade presented by the younger family member who accompanied herself with a ukulele. Her talent suggested I was previewing one of Australia's future stars.Lovely food, entertainment and people this has put the Overlander on my food map.
