If you are looking for a basic mid week counter meal at an historic pub keep on going. The dining room was clean, the waitress lovely and the history displayed in the entrance was enlightening however the food was frightful. The menu is limited, ( no bad thing,) but everything was fried to nearly beyond recognition. A heart attack waiting to happen! Even attempting to eat the food was risky as what was ordered bore little resemblance to what was ordered.I am sure there are better places in Gayndah, just drive on to find them.

First night my family and I stayed in Gayndah we all went to the Grand Hotel for dinner. It was fairly pricey for a pub meal. We expected better prices and more of a country pub style of meal. The meals were huge, what they missed with quality they made up for with quantity. They were edible, just expected more for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful.

All You Can Eat on a Sunday is worth a visit. Their curries are better than the supposed Indian place down the road.

A lovely stop over for some great food at a great price. Lovely service and family orientated area to relax in the garden area.

Friday night in Gayndah.3 pubs to choose from.1 had a live band and some local action.Another had about 10 locals. 2 playing ping pong.We just wanted a nice meal so we chose the Grand Hotel.Service was friendly. Meals a little slow coming out, but the quality was good. We didn't get too adventurous. Rib Fillet and Chicken Parmigiana. Both were high quality pub food. Wine and beer were reasonably priced. We would definitely come again. Give it a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

In a quaint little town, this is a nice restaurant to go to. The waitress is lovely and human. Lovely, country decor; pleasant atmosphere and very relaxed. If you are after a quiet dinner with your partner, then it is highly recommended.

When working in Gayndah I usually eat dinner here and have stayed in the accommodation at times as well. Food: really good pub food at reasonable prices, if you are on a tight budget go for the counter feeds instead of the dining room. Accommodation: Typical pub accommodation with no air conditioning and share facilities. A little pricey for what you get but very clean and tidy. can get busy in the cooler months with traveling fruit pickers.
