husten salmon bagel and a simple croissant. the dame at the desk was so nice and polite that I feel bad to give this review. the bagel was so hard that he could not even bite, the laugh inside stinked. croissant tasted as if it was sitting for days. so disappointed

Consistently great coffee is the reason I will walk the extra 10 mins to get to Blacksheep cafe, instead of going to the other cafe that is close enough that I could shout my order to them from my front door and they would hear me. Blacksheep have done a bit to try to make the place a bit more appealing since they opened again after the last lockdown adding some comfy seats and a couch, and a couple of plants I think, which has helped, but it needs more of that kind of thing to make it feel less…cavernous. If I had removed one star in my review, which I didn’t, but if I did, it would be for the need to make it a cosier atmosphere, a place that people want to be. But that’s just what I look for in a cafe so that’s the thing I see as the area that needs attention. That and the 1pm closing time, which just baffles me. But I gave them 5 stars because I’ve always had excellent service; my coffee is always hot; I LOVE their artists cups, and I have ALWAYS had excellent coffee from them and for me consistency is the thing I want when I order my coffee. I want to also add something on the service because it was highlighted negatively in another review. I walk with either a 4 wheel walking frame (the kind with the seat you see old people using all the time) or a walking stick. Not only have I had good service but they usually go that extra step for me, literally, bringing my takeaway over to me or outside to me so I don’t have to go to them and in one case carrying out the weird request I had of them to keep making lattes and pouring them into a large thermos I handed them until it was full. So in summary, I would definitely recommend them.
